This is the special School District 83 web page.

YOUR entrance to The Parent Program!

School District 83, Okanagan Shuswap has made 
The Parent Program accessible to all parents of children 
in their schools, as well as parents of home-schooled children in the area.

SD83 also has the right to print the program for parents who do 
not have access to a computer or the internet.

You will start receiving emails shortly after you sign up!

Ways to make it easier to share in your learning and to keep on track:

- Talk about it at home, with your partner, with others you share parenting 
of your children with. Talk about it with your kids in an age appropriate way: 
I am taking parenting classes to be the best parent I can be!

- Find a "buddy", someone to talk  with about the program, share the funny stories and your challenges as you grow together. 
This can be both an email buddy as someone you meet with weekly

- Start a study group, at school or with others. Discuss the program, the exercises and more. It is amazing how much you can learn
 from and with each other.

And it helps you to see that you are not alone in whatever 
challenges you have!!

Please be informed that the Parent Advisory Councils at your 
school may be able to assist in finding a "buddy" or 
to create a study group.
